Oh, man. Um, so actually, I've got some good chaos going on. Nice! Uh I actually got promoted not too long ago. So now I am an area manager and training. Hell yeah.

Yeah, yeah. So that's the good thing. It's like I I grew I tend to grow pretty, I I would think pretty quickly. But um the only reason I say that it's good chaos is because there's a lot of change that comes with it. So maybe about a month ago, I was um managing a store that was like really far like two hours away from our home base, pretty much, and that was the only store I was taking care of, and it had a lot of issues that I needed to juggle. Um, and then I quickly picked up a second store with it, and as soon as I picked up that second store, all the stuff that I had to do crumbled down. So um they moved me from the location. As that happens, you know, that's natural. So uh from literally like one week to the next, I got put in charge of another store that actually has like a manager and an assistant manager, so I don't have to be there all the time to do all of the work. Nice. And so I went from all of my time going to work to now I have like actually some time to do fun things, and I'm it's weird to breathe, and it's getting my body sometime, like taking it a minute to get used to like the like not having to do so much.

Yeah, something that's like more on the weird side than the uh unsettling side.

This 25 mile wide circular feature is still massive. Um it can be seen from space. Once uh once thought to be an impact crater, scientists now believe it's a deeply eroded geological dome, but its near perfect symmetry remains a mystery.

So, anyways, the next uh the next place on our list is magnetic hills. These gravity hills appear in several locations, including India, Canada, and the United States. An optical illusion caused by the horizon line and surrounding landscape. The effect tricks the brain into perceiving slight downhill slope as an uphill one, causing cars in neutral to appear to roll uphill. That is pretty cool. So I got a little excited in the middle of it because I've got to be. I could tell yeah, so I I gotten excited because I thought it was the one where the water looks like it's going upwards. But um, I still think it's cool because I have seen like I I think I've seen this on TikTok or something where they talked about it, but I haven't seen it yet, so I'll probably look up Megan. I want to see I just want to see cars that aren't doing anything going uphill when they're not. That seems like fun.

Supposedly there's a place here in town that um well up the road in town, but in the city, that um that has like a railroad track. And if you park your car on the railroad on the railroad track at night and you leave your car in neutral, it'll roll off the track, and supposedly it'll be like little handprints across the back of your car, like kids pushed it off the track.

Yeah, there I think a lot of different places have that same. I don't know if it's like an old internet at this point or whatnot. Definitely. I know in El Paso there was one like that too, where it's like you took your car to a certain spot and you put like baby powder on it, you can see like the handprints.

There's one uh near Fredericksburg that my boyfriend says is similar. That they went out there and like weird stuff started happening, and like they started getting scared, and all of a sudden it sounded like someone smacked the side of the car, and when they got out of the car and looked at it, there was a handprint in the dust that was bigger than like a normal human handprint would be.

My curiosity is I wonder if there is a group of people that make things happen at these places to try and scare people.

Right, like some locals that are like creating the world's strongest hoaxes. Yeah. This is why Scooby-Doo is a thing. This is why this is why the Loch Les Loch Ness monster is a thing. So I'm gonna tell you about the crooked forest in Poland. I got the easiest one to pronounce. Well, magnetic is pretty easy. Oh, that's what I get for saying something. Near the town of Gryffino. Griffino Gryfine G-R-Y-F-I-N-O, a groove of about 400 pine trees has trunks that are bent at like this crazy 90-degree angle before they start to grow straight up. Oh wow. So yeah. The most common theory is that they were like deliberately shaped that way by humans, like the people like pulled it down and then let it go or whatever. Um, but the exact purpose and cause is unknown. And um people say that like heavy snow or like a weird gravitational pull is what causes it. But I don't know if you've ever seen pictures of this place, but literally like a 90-degree bend in the thing where it starts to go straight of parallel to the ground and then it like fish hooks up towards the sky again.

Ooh, see what he said. Isn't that what they do with bonsai trees? Like they shape them, kinda sorta.

It's a little bit different because with bonsai, what you do is they get to a certain size, and then you wrap them with wires and bend the wires in the shape that you want, and eventually, like the tree either grows over the wire or it grows enough that you can pull the wire off and it stays in that same shape. So it's similar, but it doesn't necessarily cause that like 90-degree bend that you see in the forest.

So next we have the Kursk magnetic anomaly in Russia. Um, this is a patch of land in Western Russia that has a high concentration of iron ore.

Ore. But yeah, probably those two. Um, it causes compasses to behave erratically. Um it's one of the world's largest m magnetic anomalies. What?

So, for those of you that don't know what the Bermuda Triangle is, the region has long been known for stories of ships and planes disappearing without a trace. While some incidents have natural explanations like hurricanes, the area's reputation for mystery continues to captivate the public. That I mean, that was one that we all kind of like, I mean, at least I grew up with for a long time, always wanting to fly through it or go through it. No, I never had any aliens take you or just something happens.

That's the thing, it's not found. Lots of interesting things. There's a lot of theories around wormholes there. There's a documentary I watched about a flight where someone like jumped from Bermuda Triangle to like over Florida within like a 10-minute time span, and it should have taken them like four hours to do that. It's wild. So there's beliefs of like wormholes, but I'm about to drop a depressing science fact on you. Okay. Okay. The Bermuda Triangle is just a natural anomaly. That's all it's natural anomaly. That's all it is. So what happens is these massive clouds of methane bubbles come up from the sea, not sea life, but like the plant life that's under the water, specifically in the Bermuda Triangle. It's because the its specific spot in the ocean, the way that the currents go, the temperature, the water all year round, um, is so consistent that it grows plant life there that doesn't grow anywhere else in the ocean. And because of that, these plants actually produce a really high level of methane from from whatever, right? And so um what happens is they release these massive, like huge, like smallest that you're gonna get is like the size of a house. Clouds of bubbles that are full of methane bubbles. And so, like, like literally these bubbles are like the size of a house, you know, they're massive. So they're so there's so many of these bubbles that what they do is they change the density of the water underneath ships, and it causes ships to sink. Oh literally, like all these bubbles come up underneath the s the ship and they swallow it whole because it makes the water basically open up like a mouth almost, right? Um, Mythbusters, I think, did an episode on it. Additionally, once they hit the surface, the methane continues to rise in the air until it hits until it like you know hits the ozone and stops at the ozone or whatever. So when a plane is flying and a methane, a cloud of methane is in the way of this plane, and this plane flies through a quarter mile of methane, it no longer has the oxygen it needs to fire and combust the engine fuel inside of its engine. So it causes the plane to crash into the water. And that's what's actually the cause of all of the disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle. It's just methane. So when did they figure this out? It's just water plant farts. Water plant farts. In the late 90s, that's when they figured it out. I've watched the documentary too many times because my dad was obsessed with it.

I know, right? Just just a lot of methane. Just plant farts. Just plant farts. Now I have some anomalous natural phenomena for us to talk about. Um, this first one is Lake Hillier in Australia. Just lost all of our Australian fans. Located on Middle Island. This lake is famous for its bubblegum pink color that remains year-round. It's a what? Bubblegum pink color. And I'm telling you, you can literally find it on Google Maps. Like you can go on there, put it in earth mode, zoom in, and you will find a bright bubblegum pink lake in the middle of Australia. And scientists believe that the color is caused by a combination of high salt levels and a specific type of algae and pink bacteria, though the exact mechanism is not fully understood. And this is have you ever seen the pink face mud that you can buy? Oh, yeah. This is that's where they get it from.

Alright, um next we have the spotted lake in British Columbia, Canada. A lake that appears as a collection of vibrant pools of water with distinct mineral colours during the summer months. The spots are large mineral deposits that remain after the water evaporates.

Oh, yeah, it does. So we talked about the spotted lake, but now we talk about the vanishing sea. Oh that sounds cool.

It does. But also slightly terrifying. What if you're in it when it vanishes? Is this like the island from Lost? Does it move?

And they find it years later. So the Vanishing Sea is located in Shandipur, India. A unique phenomena where the sea dramatically recedes up to five kilometers, three miles for us Americans, twice a day during low tides. So it recedes a lot. Uh revealing a large expanse of sand. This is caused by the exceptionally flat seabed and the extreme range between high and low tides. Huh.

That is really cool. Well, since it's so flat, that makes sense because if it raises, you know, if the sea level raises only two feet there, that could be potentially that far if it's that flat or that um low of a of a grade.

That sounds absolutely beautiful and terrifying at the same time. Oh my god, hey, think it is gonna be terrifying. In the Shale Creek Preserve, a small waterfall contains a naturally occurring flame that burns behind the curtain of water. Okay, that's kind of cool actually. I bet that's pretty. The flame is fueled by natural gas seeping through the cracks in the shale below. That's actually kind of terrifying because it makes me feel like it's the wick of, you know what I mean? Like that always makes me so scared when there's like a big mass of gas and it's burning at the top. Like, what if that flame makes its way down into that cavity and then it implodes, you know, yeah, and it like you know, like combusts. That'd be terrifying. You know what also combusts? Kernels in the microwave. Oh shit. When you're dropping corn. I'm getting really good at these segue. Here you are.

Oh, with okay. Um, this is called Blood Falls in Antarctica. Oh, I've heard of this one actually. So it's crimson colored salt water and it flows from Ta the Taylor Gray.

Um, so it's a crimson-colored salt water, and it flows from the Taylor glacier onto the white ice. The color comes from the iron-rich salt water that's trapped underneath the glacier um for millions of years, and it oxidizes when it's exposed to the air.

That's what makes it turn red.

When I think of oxidation, I think of orange, not like right, like a rust color.

So I'm just gonna kind of read through it a little bit and we can we can be entertained by the ridiculousness of this shenanigree.

Captain must be awake and of sound mind. So if he's drunk and stumbling, don't listen. It is actively on fire and threatening the ship. This sounds like someone already pulled one onto the ship at this point. It is attacking a crew mammer. Rude. Okay, so that also sounds like someone brought one on a ship. It is clearly labeled not cursed, probably, in the captain's handwriting. Hopefully you can recognize the captain's handwriting. So reporting requirements. If the signer encounters a mysterious idol, they must immediately one, step away slowly. You know, think of like that Homer Simpson gif of him like disappearing into the shrubbery. Two, announce we have an idol situation. Oh god. I just want to point out that on my days off, we always have an idol situation. Three, notify the captain or quartermaster. And four, resist the urge to become. The main character. I'm definitely getting in trouble. The consequences. If the signer violates this agreement, they accept the following potential outcomes. Mob duty until morale improves. Crow's nest reflection time being assigned to inventory, the true punishment. Personal responsibility for any hauntings, curses, plagues, or plagues of frogs, or sudden dramatic music. The crew saying, I told you so forever, including at your funeral. Which will probably happen quickly if you've picked up a cursed idol.
