Weeeee're baaaaaack! And still at the Menger Hotel right next to the Alamo and the river walk in San Antonio Texas. The sights are nice, the hotel is beautiful, and the ghosts are ghosting us tonight because not much has happened. However we have a good episode for you today! We will be talking about the  many ghosts and haunts of the Menger. From Teddy Roosevelt, to William Menger himself, this hotel is bustling with an alleged 32 spirits that still roam its halls today! At the very end we had to move to the bathroom and things get a little wind in there. Our crystal of the week is Emerald! Stay Chaotic!

Send us your experience!

SPEAKER_02

You ready?

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Is it mean?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, okay, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Me, me, me, me, me.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know what's wrong with me right now. Welcome to Conjuring Chaos. We're two witchy weirdos with microphones. I'm Chase, and this is my co-host Ali. And I'm sleepy. And we're here to tell you something weird. Let's set the vibe. Let's go ahead and take our deep breath in. And out. All right. Um, let's go ahead and pull a finger. Oh, it's my turn. Oh no, you can pull a finger today.

SPEAKER_01

I'm wondering when at the very bottom.

SPEAKER_04

Ready to get our fingers up and our books down.

SPEAKER_02

Today's lucky number is four. And our badass affirmation of the week is one step at a time, bitch, but keep fucking stepping.

SPEAKER_04

Fuck yeah. Make sure you're wearing six inches while you're doing it.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god. Ali says break your fucking neck. Break your fucking neck and stomp. But look for it.

SPEAKER_04

Look, what I'm saying is to stomp on their necks and then keep walking.

SPEAKER_03

Might be slightly illegal. Oh, maybe. You never know. Depends on where you live.

SPEAKER_02

Um I'm just kidding.

SPEAKER_03

No, I think it's illegal everywhere.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not a hundred percent sure, but I think so. I think that's your local authority. You're gonna smack someone with that dowsing rod.

SPEAKER_04

There's only two people near us right now.

SPEAKER_02

It's me and you, and it's gonna be me. My luck. My luck. So um, we're still at the minger. Not that we've stayed here for two weeks. It's we just three parts in one day. You get it. You get it. We get it. We've had it. You get it. Yeah, so uh we went on a little adventure to go exploring for some Whataburger, and when we came back in the hotel, it was really weird. It was like loud. It's outside, because it's Saturday night in downtown San Antonio on the river walk, you know. And so it's like super loud. But as soon as we like passed through the columns that's in the entrance to the hotel, it just got like completely quiet. It was really weird, like weird silence. We weren't even in the building yet. Um, and then we decided to explore a little bit. So we like went through the little courtyard, and then Allie like promptly left the courtyard that she wanted to go see. Yeah, I mean, I can't blame her. And then she straight went straight up the stairs. And when we were like when Erica and I were in the hallway, so you go up the stairs, and then there's like a little landing platform that's probably like 10, 12 feet um across, and then like five, six feet wide, and then there's another set of stairs on the other side of it. And when I was walking in that little area and Erica was going up the stairs, I heard like whispering behind me that there was no one there. And then we got up to the floor and started like walking around, and we like tried to get lost, which is not hard to do in this hotel.

SPEAKER_04

I kept trying to go through these little crevices under the the staircases, and they took me nowhere. But there is a few of them with doors, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And that one that you said smelled like trash, and I thought I smelled perfume. Yeah, I smelled perfume. No, I distinctly like I smelled perfume for sure, which was more garbage, it smelled like straight garbage. I don't know what perfume you're using. I well, maybe I was smelling something you couldn't smell. I don't know. That's usually a sign of a ghost. Sniffing in the other realm. Yeah, the veil within the veil.

SPEAKER_01

Within the veil.

SPEAKER_02

So then we like go in this like weird little curve, and it's like the only curved hallway that like you can actually find in the hotel. It was really weird. So it kind of looks like a ramp, or no, it was just rounded instead of cornered. Oh, and it had the wooden floors. You were there. It's where Eric and I kept seeing the little like flashes of light in the hallway, and we kept seeing, we kept being like, Oh, oh, oh, and we'd both see him at the same time.

SPEAKER_04

Unfortunately, at that time, there was something stuck in my eye, like really freaking bad. Like it hurt, and then everything got blurry. So I'm like, I couldn't see shit.

SPEAKER_02

Something poked me.

SPEAKER_04

Something poked as a you're blind.

SPEAKER_02

Um, and then I saw like a wisp go from one side of the hall to the other, and Erica saw that one as well. And then there was a little like like vertical, vertical, um, like shadowy, misty shadow squigglies. It was just like a little shadow squiggle figure behind me when we were walking in the we were leaving, and I was like, I looked down in the thing and I could see it in the reflection in the door.

SPEAKER_04

Um the hallways are very creaky.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no, it was just the stairwell. And what's weird is it wasn't creaking under my feet only. Y'all just my I have heavy feet. Okay, do you like stomp when you walk? That might have something to do with it. You definitely stomp. But yeah, so we had some fun times there. I don't think Ali saw anything, but Erica and I did.

SPEAKER_04

Nothing out of the norm. I got jealous. Like you guys have you guys always get the experiences. I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_02

Only only Erica got to be friends with Isaac, though. So part two of the Mingram. This is gonna be a long one. A really long one.

SPEAKER_00

Six pages.

SPEAKER_04

I'm pretty sure it seems long, and then we're gonna start reading it and we're gonna get right through it. Yeah, I hope so. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

So um we left off with the story of Teddy Roosevelt. Yeah, so we're gonna talk about Teddy Roosevelt. The most high-profile ghost at the Minger has to be former president Teddy Roosevelt. After all, it was at the Minger bar we he where he would attempt and sometimes succeed in convincing unsuspecting cowboys to join his league of rough riders over a few over free free drinker. A few. Before they had time to sober up, they found themselves on the way to Fort Sam Houston for military training to later join up with the forces fighting the Spanish-American War. He is often seen sitting at the bar enjoying a drink. Did he die near here?

SPEAKER_04

No, I don't think so. That'd be really crazy if his spirit was stuck here. I hate everybody, like died near my family and I get stuck in Texas.

SPEAKER_02

Right. Well, I mean, so I've heard stories about like people taking pictures and they're just like taking fun pictures at the bar and they notice like his reflection in the mirror. Yeah. So the legend of the bullet holes, this is still about Teddy Roosevelt. The legend of the bullet holes, the story, according to local lore, Roosevelt fired once fired his pistol into the wall to prove his marksmanship to potential recruits for the Rough Riders, or as part of a challenge to see who could shoot closest to a glass mirror without breaking it. And then the reality is that a long, longtime hotel officials and historians state that these are more likely to be nail or drill holes rather than bullet holes. And forensic analysis mentions that the hotel's former PR director indicates the holes do not match the caliber of any firearm available at the time Roosevelt was there in 1898. Nice. So just a myth, just a fun myth. These are things that people like to get scared about. Yeah. So Ali, tell us about Sally White. Sally White.

SPEAKER_04

Jesus. Oh, see, that was fast. So Sally White, the most often results the most often reported sighting is a woman called Sally White. She was a chambermaid in the hotel during the Victorian times who during her work shift was attacked by her husband, suffering from several injuries. She tragically lost her life days later. According to the Menger Hotel records, it paid for her funeral at a cost of $32. Wow. Fuck funerals were cheap back then. You know, so I don't know if I mentioned this on here, but I used to be a funeral director. Um I know Chase, you know that mortician, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Okay, I didn't know they were the same thing. Yeah. I didn't know that they were like, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

No, so I would work with I I worked with the person who had like the prenat funeral homes, which is like the insurance that you get for when you die. Um but people who bought their funerals in like 1980, 1990, they got their funeral for like $500. And the parents didn't, I mean, the families later on didn't have to pay for anything else. So it's crazy to me that now like funerals are upwards of like thousands of dollars. That's crazy. It used to be $32. And the manger paid for it. And the manger paid for it. You may see Sally during the night on oh, you may see you may see Sally during the night on the way back to your room in her Victorian made outfit carrying a handful of towels. Oh, you saw? Did you you did you talk about the woman you saw in the lobby?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no, that's a different that's a different energy. Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_04

The third floor is the primary the third floor is the primary territory of Sally White. While she roams the halls, guests in specific rooms on this floor often report her servicing their accommodations. That's cool. Ghost May. I hope we get to see her tonight. Only you. Guests who are exceptionally kind to the living staff sometimes find extra amenities like fresh flowers or chocolates. That current housekeeping does not recall providing. Oh. These are attributes to Sally's helpful spirits. I wonder where the fuck she pulls these things out of.

SPEAKER_02

Interesting. Hmm. I was exceptionally nice to the staff.

SPEAKER_04

And we're on the third floor. Hi, Sally. Another operation that has been witnessed in the hotel is that of Captain Richard King. He was the owner of one of the biggest ranches in the world, the King Ranch. He would often stay at the hotel during his lifetime as he had his own personal suite. After being informed of his impending death by his physician, he spent the last few months of his life in his suite, writing his will and bidding farewell to his friends. His funeral was even held in the parlor of the hotel. Oh his suite, now nicknamed the King Ranch Room, is where his ghost has been seen, entering the room where the doors were where the door was once located before the room was remodeled.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, oh, that would be a residual haunting. That's kind of cool.

SPEAKER_04

Would you like to read about the woman in blue?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, wow, she's not in white, black, or red. No, it's that means that this one might not have, you know, because her husband went off to see and never came back. Spoiler alert, he always comes back the day after she does it. Uh-huh. It's like the Romeo and Juliet thing. Kinda, yeah. Yeah, yeah, basically. Interesting. I never looked at like that. So, woman in a blue dress. Another apparition of a woman has been seen in the original hotel lobby. Oh, that's that real pretty area. On one occasion, a staff member witnessed a woman in an old-fashioned blue dress sat knitting in the old lobby, approaching her. The staff member asked if she was okay and if there was anything she needed. Only she answered with a stern no, disappearing shortly after. Okay. She so I saw her and she was sitting in one of those blue chairs. Yeah, okay. But it was arranged differently. The blue chairs were further over, like they were more to the right than they are now.

unknown

But yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I'm sure they move things around like often, and like it seems like they do.

SPEAKER_02

Well, because you gotta rearrange to keep the energies alive. As soon as you don't, like they start getting like, okay, we're comfortable now, basically. Like a lot of times when you rearrange it, that's what makes them like kind of come out. Yeah, agitated or whatever. Agitated, piss off the ghosts. Yeah, exactly. They're like, excuse me, I just got used to this layout. So this one is the elevator ghost. Multiple accounts in the from the mid-2000s, including 2006, described the elevator opening, staying open for several minutes and then traveling to a floor by itself at the same hour every few nights. Why? Why? That's residual. Oh, I just got goosebumps.

SPEAKER_04

I don't like things that involve elevators. Elevators are scary enough when you're in them.

SPEAKER_02

I know, and then there's that elevator game that they think took out Lisa Lamb. Oh, yeah. Uh, what is it? The hotel, the Hot Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles. By the way, I never want to go there. I think it's closed, but I heard it's disgusting. Oh, I've heard that too. I've heard it's disgusting, like sticky carpets. I think we've cleaned it up after like who knows, but maybe we should take a trip to Los Angeles sometime. There's also, I think the thing that really freaks me out is that for like several days, if not two or three weeks, people were drinking, oh yeah, washing their teeth and showering in water that her body was decomposing, and that's disgusting. That's another reason. I'm like, I don't know, I just can't. I don't believe that it's out of the system still. Oh, the frisky ghost. Does this one also go to the dress ball? Is this one in the card swipey too? A male spirit known to playfully tug at the hair of female guests, particularly redheads. I'm in a room with three. Jesus Christ. Oh, the blonde girl, a young girl often seen playing near the grand staircase, or running through the second and fourth floor hallways. When we were on the second floor, Erica was like, Is there a ghost of a little girl? Oh shit. Because she said she heard a little right? Yeah, yeah. And we were on the second floor, right? Yeah. I heard it upstairs. Did you hear what I just said?

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, you shouldn't. A young child often seen playing near the grand staircase or running through the second and third floor hall, second and fourth floor hallways. Oh shit. Little blonde girl, apparently. I don't see her, I just heard her. She's just heard her. You woke her up to get her account. If you're listening, please forgive us, Erica. Alamo defenders, due to the hotel's location on the original battleground, multiple faceless soldiers in period uniforms are often reported.

SPEAKER_03

What was it you were saying earlier? There's a lot of ghosts in here. It's 23. 32. 32. Never mind. I got the number confused. You did. It's okay.

SPEAKER_02

Rough Riders. Several spirits of soldiers recruited by Roosevelt are said to still be looking for a drink at the bar.

SPEAKER_04

Oh. It was packed when we It was.

SPEAKER_02

Well, it was that wedding party. And all girls in their sequin drift that one girl. Oh, she was sleepy.

SPEAKER_03

They hurt.

SPEAKER_05

Well, I got it too. She's like, I didn't bring an extra pair of shoes and a high feel for you.

SPEAKER_02

I know it's me after the festival today or the expo today. Okay. Tragic figures, unnamed spirits of individuals who committed suicide or were victims of violence in the hotel's early years, such as a sick clerk who died in 1903.

SPEAKER_04

Aww. So other reports from the hotel. There have also been reports of helpful ghosts in the kitchen with staff members often reporting utensils floating through the air from one area to another. That's too much. No, thank you.

SPEAKER_02

Leave it where it is. I think that I don't want to order food from the hotel now in case I eat a poltergo. Poltergo.

SPEAKER_03

It's a polterburger.

SPEAKER_04

Due to the hotel facing the side of the Alamo, many of the reports are attributed to the lives where to the lives that were lost here. One of the most frequent reports is the sound of heavy footsteps and seeing old military boots. Those weren't just heavy footsteps. That was me walking through the hallway.

SPEAKER_02

It's just Sally, not a ghost. It's just me.

unknown

Big feet.

SPEAKER_06

There's just a fraction of these reports that have occurred here.

SPEAKER_02

I just felt a finger go up my freaking foot. Okay. I'm glad it was your foot. Just straight up the middle of my foot. It felt just like that. Card swiped your foot. Not even like, not even light. Like there was pressure behind that.

SPEAKER_04

This is just a fraction of the reports that have occurred here, although all are seemingly friendly, with the one terrifying aspect of them being their sudden appearance, startling guests, and staff alike. Okay, so they're just star ghosts. Yep. Yep. Physical phenomena. Phenomena.

SPEAKER_06

Reports include levitating beds. Oh god. Heavy doors opening by themselves and bathroom utensils. Bathroom utensils?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know what this looking mean.

SPEAKER_06

Floating through the air. Um, I don't you should not have utensils in your bathroom.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe it's that snail thing that you found.

SPEAKER_01

What the fuck are bathroom and utensils? You utensils. Oh no.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, I'm gonna go from the bottom up. Nail clippers, razor, comb, faucet.

SPEAKER_01

The whole fucking movie. Toilet paper, loofah, toilet, bathtub, and sink.

SPEAKER_02

I swear to god, if our bathtub starts levitating, I'm running to my home because there's no way it is detaching itself from the walls and floor. That thing is in there.

SPEAKER_04

Oh visual and sensory sightings, translucent faces appearing in mirrors, the smell of cigar smoke in non-smoking rooms, and sudden spots, cold spots or auras felt in the hallways. Yeah. It was weird. So there's a few parts of the hallways where you it feels like you can't breathe, there's no air, and then you step like into a next part, and it's like all of the air comes right back.

SPEAKER_02

And then the one thing that was kind of freaking me out is like at one point I was like, Oh, I feel really heavy here. And Eric was like, That's weird because I just felt like feel lighter. And then we walked into another space and I was like, Oh, I feel lighter. And she was like, I feel heavy now.

SPEAKER_04

The maid rule. There are two specific rooms. The hotel, oh, there are two specific rooms. The hotel keeps the numbers private to avoid scaring off guests. Where housekeeping staff reportedly refuse to enter alone, insisting on working in pairs due to the intensity of the activity. Next time, let's ask to see if we can stay in one of those rooms. They don't they don't allow you. They keep it, they keep it uh they no, they allow you to. They just keep the number numbers. There's a basement here. Yes. I didn't know that. The basement warnings. Former staff members on Reddit have warned that the basement is the most oppressive part of the building, claiming that the guests who sneak down there often experience sudden panic attacks or feel holes being bored into their heads.

SPEAKER_02

No, thank you.

SPEAKER_04

I don't want to go to the basement.

SPEAKER_02

I don't want to go to the basement.

SPEAKER_04

Some cool stairway.

SPEAKER_02

That was not a cool stairway in any way, shape, or form, Ali. That was a cursed stairway, is what that was.

SPEAKER_04

No, thank you. Let's see. What kind of things can we find in the mirrors? Mirror apparitions. My least favorite kind. Rooms throughout the original section have reports of translucent faces appearing in mirrors alongside the guest's own reflection. You know what's funny is every time I look into a mirror, I'm like, am I gonna see someone in there? Am I gonna see someone next to me? And I'm kind of hoping I don't.

SPEAKER_02

And you don't because you're looking for it.

SPEAKER_04

The funny thing is, if I do, I probably piss myself.

SPEAKER_02

That's funny. We were just roaming around that area, too. So Allie, yeah, I have an amazing corny joke for you. Oh, really? That'll make me feel much better. Hopefully. Hopefully. So who earns a living by driving their customers away? Oh. A taxi driver.

SPEAKER_04

You okay. You know what's funny is that was gonna be my fucking answer. Or an Uberist. The fact that I could uh think of the same answer, I'm gonna. At least your corny jokes are factual. Thank you to our live studio audience for being here with us.

SPEAKER_02

You're really great.

SPEAKER_04

So now we're gonna dive into some of the specific rooms here in the hotel.

SPEAKER_02

Awesome. Yes, so um, interestingly enough, I think that the two rooms that earlier mentioned will be somewhere on this list. We just don't know which two they are. So um we have the King Ranch Suite. It was formerly the King William Suite, and it is arguably the most haunted, the most famous haunted room in the hotel. And it was the personal suite of Captain Richard King, who lived there during his final months, as we've already discussed, in the room's bed in the in 1885. Guests frequently report the heavy sound of boots pacing the floor. The suite still contains the original bed frame where King passed away. Oh hell no. I've never stayed. I know I said at one point that I would love to stay in the room because it's so pretty. I'm no longer interested in the house.

SPEAKER_04

We're gonna be sleeping on the floor in the hallway.

SPEAKER_02

There's no way in hell. I'm sorry, I can't with that. It's not an option. My brain will not compute that. Whoo. Okay. Because of historical renovations, the room's layout has changed, and Captain King's spirit is often seen entering the entering or exiting the suite by walking directly through a solid wall where the original door once stood. A mysterious dancing red orb is almost exclusively seen within or just outside this specific suite. We never found the King Ranch Suite. I think we did. It's on the second floor, no? Yes, but I don't know. I don't think we walked past it.

SPEAKER_04

I swear I had seen the name of it. There's a few days.

SPEAKER_02

I know we went past the Roosevelt room. There are frequent mentions of a sudden irrational fear or shivers when walking near the King Ranch suite. I'm not I can't think of if I had any time where like I had any irrational fear or whatever. Or just like a weird fear.

SPEAKER_04

The only one that I felt was I felt like I was gonna tip over the balcony. I don't know why, but the railing seems so like did you go out on the balcony? Not the balcony. So you know how the second, I'm sorry, it you know how the there's like three levels and it goes into that main yeah, that one. Oh yeah, because it was really low. I guess the railing, yeah, the railing is really low. Like you can trip over that and die.

SPEAKER_02

Easily fall over it, yeah. If someone was too drunk, that would be dangerous to them. So let's talk about the William Minger suite. If you remember, that is the person who you know originally wanted to open the hotel after opening a brewery. So named after the hotel's founder. The suite is known for sightings of ghostly children. Oh. Ugh. Mm-mm. Don't like it. I don't like ghost kids. Me either. I don't like yeah, it's just freaky. One account describes a father walking to find his young daughter playing patty cake with an invisible friend in the middle of the night.

SPEAKER_01

Nope. Nope.

SPEAKER_02

That's a turn the fuck around and walk away. You know what? Just leave your kid with the ghost children. Yeah, they belong to the hotel now. A young boy with blonde hair wearing a light blue double-breasted suit and lace-up boots has been seen sitting at the foot of the bed before vanishing through the wall.

SPEAKER_04

Better not be in this room. Better not be in this room. No, it's the William Minger suite.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. No, we're just in on the regular room. Yeah, regular room. Regular room. Uh, and then we have room 3110. Okay. The that started a little too close. Very close to the room we're in right now. Guests have reported a heavy, dead smell, unexplained water soaking their shoes under the bed and knocks on the walls throughout the night.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, you heard knocking on the walls.

SPEAKER_02

Where was that? But that was on the second floor. Where was that trash smell at?

SPEAKER_04

Was that that was the second floor? The help me mirror in 2015. A user recounted a story on R Paranormal about the staying in a room on the second floor. After steaming up the bathroom with hot water, the words help me appeared on the mirror, written backwards as if somebody was writing from the inside of the mirror. No, thank you.

SPEAKER_02

Like that. No, thank you. No, thank you. Where was did it say where? Uh somewhere on the second floor. Oh, thank god. Yeah, second floor. Second floor has to help me back. I chills on my back from that. No, thank you. Physical contact in the bar. A guest reported being touched while standing at the bar. They felt a firm hand squeeze their shoulder and saw their own shirt lift as the hand pulled away, despite no one being there. When they looked at the bartender in shock, he reportedly just nodded and said, Yeah, yeah, as if it were a common occurrence.

SPEAKER_04

The vanishing room service cart. In a thread on R San Antonio, a user shared an experience from approximately 14 years ago where they saw a man in an old-fashioned hotel uniform rolling a room service cart down the hallway. They stepped aside to let him pass, but when they turned around a second later, the man and the cart had completely vanished. Oh god, you keep getting the ghost kids.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, why? Ghost Boy Photo 2013. In a post on the Paranormal subreddit, a guest described taking a photo with an iPhone in their room. Upon later review, they saw a clear outline of a small boy in the shadows, including an old-fashioned collar around his neck. The user noted that they were skeptic until this occurred.

SPEAKER_04

Ew. This place has turned a lot of skeptics into believers. Yeah, yeah, absolutely has. The aggressive shower.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, weird that we're in a bathroom talking about an aggressive shower.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

A guest on the Ghost Subreddit reported that while showering, the water suddenly turned scorching hot on its bulb.

SPEAKER_04

Feeling like they were being watched, they yelled, leave me alone. And the water immediately returned to normal temperature. Well, at least we know the magic words.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's leave me alone. Leave me alone. Yep. Yep. Oh, funny. Oh no, okay, okay. Balcony footsteps. Balcony footsteps. Why are we so extra giggly? It's because we're in a stupid bathroom. Balcony footsteps. A guest staying in an older corner room heard footsteps pacing back and forth in the middle of the night. After waking his wife to listen, they both witnessed the French doors to the balcony open on its own as the footsteps walked outside. Ew. Ew. No, thank you.

SPEAKER_04

The restroom orb. I like how a lot of these are restroom ones and we're in the restroom. A user report that while alone in the ladies' restroom at the manger bar, a bright snack plate-sized ball is like described that way.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know. You're in a bathroom, ma'am. Please do not think about food. I know I'm not right now.

SPEAKER_05

So a snack plate-sized ball of light flew in front of their face. No. Hovered and then vanished into a corner. Oh. I think that's a customer.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, lovely. I do keep giving the kid ones. Smiling girl on the second level. Ew. A more recent post on the Ghost Subreddit features a photo of what appears to be a pale young girl smiling through the railing of the second floor. The user claimed they took three rapid secession photos, and she was only in the first two.

SPEAKER_04

Right. You keep getting the kid ones. I keep getting the bathroom ones on one. It's wild.

SPEAKER_02

Is that all that there is? Here is kid ghosts is bathroom ghosts. In the bathroom.

SPEAKER_04

I know. This one's called bathroom shadows. Great. Great. A guest on the ghost story subreddit noted seeing a shadow figure in their bathroom after jokingly talking to oh, after jokingly thanking the spirit for turning off the light. Oh, they found the light actually switched off upon their return. You no no no no.

SPEAKER_02

No. No, they didn't. I did not like that.

SPEAKER_04

Like all I know if the if the bathroom lights turn off right now, I'm going to scream shit myself.

SPEAKER_02

Because it is literally a switch that would take a physical movement to do that. Yeah, it's an old school switch. Those are the kind my house had that I grew up in that was built in like literally 90. Oh, okay, here we go. The flying beer can. Okay. In the same thread, a user described unloading a cooler into their room's fridge when a can flew out of the fridge and hit them. Followed later by their top blanket being ripped off the bed while they were sleeping. What did Erica say before she went to bed?

SPEAKER_01

She tucked it so she wouldn't get it ripped off.

SPEAKER_04

She left it tucked in tight so she would get it ripped off or I remember we're sleeping with like we have two people to a bed.

SPEAKER_02

Right?

SPEAKER_04

The strobing mirror. Oh. A traveler share on social media and paranormal subreddit that while applying makeup in the room, the mirror light began strobing specifically at them.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_04

But would stop as soon as their friends approached the desk. What the f oh.

SPEAKER_02

So it's like they see more people out. The moving door chain. A guest in the Oscar Wild suite reported to hearing a faint click, click, click sound. They turned to see the heavy door chain moving slowly by itself, hitting the frame. They attempted to debunk it by jumping near the door or using the AC, but the chain remained still until they were alone again.

SPEAKER_04

The shadowy monk. One account describes looking out a window at 3:30 a.m. to see a figure resembling a monk in a long hooded robe standing by the gate. The user claimed they could see through the figure in areas where the street lights hit it. No, thank you. There's your uh transparent ghosts.

SPEAKER_02

Mm-hmm. Translusing. There's shimmery with Glenarish.

SPEAKER_04

They're vampires now.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, guess what? Our last one is a bathroom one. Oh god, I thought it was a bar vampire. Barman in the shower. Okay, okay. Emerging from the shower, a guest saw a man dressed in a buckskin jacket and gray pants. Seemingly arguing with an unseen presence. Are you gonna stay or are you gonna go? He was reported as saying three times before he vanished. An apparition with the same description is typically seen in the bar area. Oh.

SPEAKER_04

Wow. These are some of the ghosts that you might run into.

SPEAKER_02

Run into if you're in the hotel or staying tonight. I guarantee if I took this jacket off, my arms look like chicken. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_06

You look like a chicken.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so you read the last one. Yes. So I'm gonna read this one. And I have no guess, no guess at all for what this is. Like it almost looks like Chrysopraise to me, but I know we already did that one. Kind of looks like Larimar, but it's not blue enough. I don't know. No fucking way. Emerald? Emerald. Okay. Whatever you say, Carl. Whatever you say, rock color. I've never seen an emerald that looks like that. What it is. One of the four precious gemstones. Emerald. There's only four. Emerald, ruby, diamond, sapphire. Sapphire. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

It's air, water, earth, and fire.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Anyways, emerald radiates with a wet, lush, verdant energy. I don't like the description for email. It was hard to say out loud. Historically, emerald is associated with love, beauty, and sex. So if you're into any of that, you might want to associate yourself with a saturated green gem. That's cool.

SPEAKER_04

That explains why emerald like lingerie and stuff is sexy.

SPEAKER_02

That's a good point. Who needs it? Aesthetics, Bohemians, Epicureans, Transcendent. Transcendentalist. Is that like a dental assistant?

SPEAKER_01

Dental assistant.

SPEAKER_02

For trans people. Sorry. It is to 11 a.m. We're in a haunted bathroom hotel. We're a little loopy. I said what I said. I said what I said. And I meant it. Because half those stories were bathroom related. So just saying. Kids with bathroom ghosts. Anyways, back to this emerald. Where to put it? On a chain over your heart. Or on a ring at the base of your left thumb. Perched atop the Venus Mount. This part of your front thumb here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, it's that's the Venus Mountain. Mount. Oh, okay. Venus Mount. Yep. Apparently. According to this.

SPEAKER_01

What is that from?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it's literally it. The the like shavy. Yes, I am. Okay. Well, when to use it. When you've temporarily lost the courage to love and be loved. When you're in need of a total refresh, open your heart to limitless possibility with emerald.

SPEAKER_04

What is uh what is today's um the crystal mono? Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Why can't I remember the name mono? I cannot remember that word.

SPEAKER_02

It has been three and a half hours since the last time we said it. So it is point your heart towards Grace. Oh, nice. I know a few people named Grace, and I don't think I've heard. Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_06

Man, okay. Well, I think with those stories, our sleepiness. Uh, we've done all we can do.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I don't think they want to hear any more of us at this point. And honestly, I don't think I do either.
