Our crystal of the week is the stunning silicate Cavansite, stay chaotic!
Welcome to Conjuring Chaos. We're two witchy weirdos with microphones. I'm Chase, and this is my co-host Allie. And I still can't tell my left from my right. And we're here to tell you something weird. Let's set the vibe. Alright, let's go ahead and take our deep breath in. And out. I wonder if they can hear me stop inhaling several seconds before we set up. Literally. Not a good thing. Go ahead and pull a finger.
SPEAKER_02Let's see. This one like legit just popped right at me. Cool. So before we do this, we gotta get our fingers up and our fucks down. So lucky number for today is number 54. Or I guess it's for the week, right? Yeah. Yeah. Lucky number for the week is 54. Running on caffeine, confidence, and zero fucks. Why does that sound like someone that I'm looking at right now?
SPEAKER_01No, literally, I have zero fucks to give right now. And I'm not even drinking tequila.
SPEAKER_02Nice! Oh, did you know that um Taco Bell had half price margaritas today?
SPEAKER_01I don't need margaritas. That's a bad combination. Me plus a margarita equals fucking chaos. Speaking of chaos, what's chaotic in your life this week, Allie?
SPEAKER_02Um, you know, honestly, it I don't know if it was just my life or like everybody's life, but the past week in itself has just felt like a chaotic week. Because Mercury was in retrograde up until Friday. Yeah, no, I have been, and it was funny because until I talked to you like the day before yesterday. Yesterday, yeah. Um, all week I was just in this like funky, like, I don't give a shit right now attitude. Yeah, same. But I think that's because I was in Las Vegas. But yeah, and I noticed other people too, like, were a little bit, I don't know if the the word was irritated or off. Yeah, I a lot of people that I was around this week just felt like seemed a little off. Like they knew they felt off, they kept telling me they were off, and I felt bad that I couldn't help them because I also felt off.
SPEAKER_01Right, yeah, no, I get that. I've I've been in a weird, interesting state too. So just pure chaos for me. I'm just the chaos queen this week. Yeah, the chaos queen. I was in I was in Las Vegas for like five days. Three of them I did work, two of them I got to play. It was really fun. I saw my first drag show. Nice, it's fucking amazing.
SPEAKER_02Who did you say you saw again?
SPEAKER_01Uh Chanel and Jason Barry. Yep. Yep, she was the host. I say she because I looked up online how you're supposed to refer to them when they're in character. And I learned that when they're in character, they want to be called she her because that's the character's identity. Yeah. Um if y'all haven't noticed, we try to be PC and try to be respectful because you know we are not only some of us are part of the LGBTQ blah blah blah community. I don't know which letters I'm supposed to say. I'm always getting I'm always getting corrected on it. Apparently they are but I love everyone, and I think everyone should be able to love who they want to love, and that's how Allie feels too. So I'm an ally, she's Ally. She's Allie. But yeah, no, so like it's anyways, random rant, but it's it was amazing. That's good. It was amazing.
SPEAKER_02I'm glad you could you're you because you do, you seem refreshed, and I was telling her before the podcast started, she just seems a little bit like different in a sense, but the the confidence is really showing through.
SPEAKER_01Someone told me I'm glowing, and I'm like, it's just the green art. Green makes you glow well. Yeah, dark green makes me glow. I like emerald on me. Maroon, burgundy, and navy blue also do that. Well, navy blue, not so much, but it shows my olive, so I look all princessy.
SPEAKER_02Which is good because I noticed that those are the colors you tend to wear more often. It's for a reason. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I do it on purpose. I know it makes me look good. Um, so lots of chaos. Because I also I got to see the Wizard of Oz for the first time ever. I'm not sitting around. When you say Wizard of Oz. It was at the sphere. I caught an apple. Oh, I caught a fucking apple. That's so fucking cool. Yeah, it was. Mandy and I both caught one. It's it's made of foam. So were they just throwing apples at you guys? I I don't know exactly what happens, but like the trees start start shaking, and you look up and there's apples falling. They're foam. Oh, okay. Can you imagine if they were real apples? That would suck. It's raining apples. I loved the show. I've never seen the movie before. No. I've only seen the scene where the witch melts. Okay. And I've seen like shitty 30-minute like renditions of it, like in cartoons and whatnot, but I've never actually seen the movie itself.
SPEAKER_02Which is crazy because you strike me as uh I don't know why, but like as a wizard of oz type person.
SPEAKER_01My grandmother loved it. Granted, her name is Dorothy.
SPEAKER_00Oh.
SPEAKER_01She said the flying monkey scared the shit out of her. I told her, then you don't want to go see the Wizard of Oz. You devil around here. No, for real. No, yeah. It's wild. It is. It's 4D. Like, yeah, it's it's cool though. Like the whole, it's not through all 360, it's like a little bit more than 180. It's a little bit more than half of it. The whole outside of it does have external LEDs that show completely different things than what's inside.
SPEAKER_02I was like watching the videos of the little face that just looks at things.
SPEAKER_01The emoji. Yeah. I got I caught videos of a bunch of stuff, and then when the show finished, you walk out, there's these two giant legs with ruby slippers sticking out from underneath the freaking spear. It's awesome.
SPEAKER_02I am so glad that you got to have this in as an experience. This is freaking cool.
SPEAKER_01This was my first experience with watching The Wizard of Oz. First experience. That's like that's like you know that fucking viral Bohemian Rhapsody video that from France that came out. There are statistically, there are people in that crowd, multiple people in that crowd, that have never heard that song before, and that was their first experience with Bohemian Rhapsody. And I felt the same way that those people probably felt in that damn crowd when I was in that seat. It was badass. Man. But yeah, and then um we did some shopping. I finally got a new pair of Lucky Brands. It was fun, really fun. Got to wear a lot of dresses, got to look cute the whole time.
SPEAKER_02I forgot you told me you were gonna wear Lucky Brand today, and I was gonna bring my pair of Lucky Brandy inside.
SPEAKER_01I also, oh my god, that would have been so funny. We're not lesbian, but they did not match everything that we wear. Crop tops and lucky brands. What, what? I also I did buy a skirt and some shorts from Target earlier, and I might wear those with uh one out of the crop. I brought a lot of options.
SPEAKER_02I only brought a lot of things. Apparently, I'm that person. It's okay. I was gonna bring more options. I woke up super freaking late. So my alarm went off at six, and then I was like, okay, and then I closed my eyes and then I opened them again, and it was like 6.08, and I was like, okay. And then I closed them again, and I swore it was like five minutes and it was seven nineteen. The same bullshit happened.
SPEAKER_01It goes off at my alarm goes off at 5 30, right? I'm like, okay, snooze, snooze. Okay, it goes off again, 5 45. Okay, snooze. It goes off again. Okay, look at clock, 7 15.
SPEAKER_02What the hour the c I think the path was just erased completely from our memory. It just I was like, The funny thing is I woke up at 6 and I was like, I'll wake up when Chase uh Zoom calls me for. No, we completely when I completely forgot to.
SPEAKER_01I woke up and did work out, but you can always call me too. I will. Yeah, you can. I mean, we don't have to zoom either. We can literally just be on the phone and just be like, what's up? How's your workout going?
SPEAKER_02Be like, it's gonna sound weird.
SPEAKER_01My dog comes over to me usually when I start doing the leg ups because like my it's my whole legs up in the air, and he he usually comes over and he like looks down at me. His big ass floppy ears are like hanging down near my face, and he's looking at me so confused, and I'm like, hi Berber. I give him scritches and then he starts like leaning towards which spots he wants me to scratch. And I'm like, dude, I can't do this while I'm working out. He wants to be a part of it, you know. I love him, he's too sweet. Before we get fully started, I want to make a couple of announcements. We are over a thousand downloads. Oh, nice! I can't tell you how many listens or streams, but I can tell you how many times we've been downloaded, and it's over a thousand times.
SPEAKER_02And that means we're saved on somebody's cloud somewhere. Yeah, we're on a cloud something.
SPEAKER_01Additionally, we have five five-star reviews on Spotify. Oh, thank you to those five people.
SPEAKER_02I love you.
SPEAKER_01Yes, that you and I I would like you to know that uh if you're one of the people who did that, please send us an email at conjuring chaos podcast at gmail.com and let me know that it was you, and we will send you a free sticker pack of all of the stickers that we have had made for the podcast. Most definitely. They're super cute, by the way. You want them and they will be free.
SPEAKER_02Just to let you know, um, I didn't realize people could review us. Yeah. And uh when you said that, my the lights in the back of my brain just started going off. I was gonna have like a weird stroke because I'm like, oh yeah, people are listening to us.
SPEAKER_01People listen to us. Isn't that wild? That is, yeah. Nicole reached out, she listened to her episode, she loved it. Oh, I'm glad Nicole loved it. So, one more thing before we get started. You want to start us off with an abstract advice?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Our first abstract advice for today. If you're going to be late, be very late. So it seems intentional.
SPEAKER_01That is wow. I feel like there's stylists that follow that. They live by that.
SPEAKER_02I feel like I should follow it more. I feel like when I'm running late, I'm more I'm like so stressed out about being late, but I'm already late, and I'm like, why not just have a little bit of more time then at least?
SPEAKER_01I mean, sometimes if I'm like, it depends, right? Like, if it's something important, I'm like, okay, I'm gonna get there. But if like I it's not something super important, then I'm like, I can't dang it. Okay, you know what? Speaking of fucking chaos, do you want to hear some fucking chaos, Allie? So we get through security. We get to our we get to our our little our gate, right? Brett doesn't get there until like 20 minutes before we started, less than 20 minutes before we started recording. Manny and I got there over an hour early. Okay. So we get through security, we get on the plane, we fly, we get to Vegas, we get our Uber to the hotel. We're staying at the Cosmopolitan. It was amazing, it was beautiful. My view was of the Bellagio fountains from the 27th floor. It was the best view of my life. I didn't want to leave that spot. We get into the we get into the hotel, we walk up to the front desk, and she says, I need the license for Chase. So I opened my wallet. And apparently I pulled a fucking alley. My license was still in the security bin in San Antonio. So I called the airport and I'm like, I don't return to my license. I left it in the security bins, and they're like, Yep, we got it right here. Can you tell me your name and the number? And I'm like, Yep, this is my name. This is the number on my license. And they're like, Fuck yeah, B, we got this shit right here. You just come pick it up. And I said, I will be there on Thursday. I didn't get there until 10 something on Thursday night because my plane was delayed by over two hours. They close at five anyway. Oh, so I still don't have my license.
SPEAKER_02That's great. The funny thing is, um, and I forgot, I was gonna message you when you had texted me that you lost your license. Yeah, I was gonna text you back, way to go, Allie.
SPEAKER_01That's fucking hilarious. Yeah, that's what's really chaotic in my life.
SPEAKER_02I'm surprised I uh uh my my ID and my card were in a pair of pants that I didn't remember until later, but I sent the whole house into a panic this morning. That is hilarious.
SPEAKER_01I've done that before. I've done that before for sure. Left my ID in a in a pocket by accident, and I get where I'm going to be like, uh oh. Yep. Yep. So um I have a personal story to start with. Okay. I got haunted at my Grammy's again.
SPEAKER_02Recently?
SPEAKER_01Um, on in April. It was back in April. Oh, okay. Apparently I took notes and I just recently found them. So I figured we'd talk about it. Um so I went into the kitchen and it was so like I to turn off the oven because I cook her lunch once a week. And as I was walking out, this drawer that I hadn't even touched all day just like opened by itself. Oh this happened two different times. And after closing it, I would step around it and like jump around and like bump into the island to see if it would open by itself and it wouldn't. It happened two times. Nope. Nope, back back the fuck up out of that situation. And then um a different day back in April, the dogs were going crazy in the kitchen. And when they finally calmed down and left the kitchen, I a few minutes later, um, I walked in and the drawer opened by itself again. This one is is a little bit freaky. This one happened, um this one happened in my bed. I was laying on not like that. It was a pulter gun together.
SPEAKER_02You said it was freaky.
SPEAKER_01Well, it is, but I was laying it up. And I had like I was like laying across it instead of down it. And it just felt like someone kind of like slowly started pulling one of my curls into a straight. And when I turned, I saw it drop. It was not a fun time.
SPEAKER_02I want to hit. That's the thing, is like if I feel like that, something like that, near me, next to me, on me, I'm either kicking, swinging, or something like that. That's my first response is to hit.
SPEAKER_01I literally went, please don't touch me. This is gonna be a good episode. We have some long ones today.
SPEAKER_02So today's technically second submission.
SPEAKER_01Today's first submission, second story, yes.
SPEAKER_02But my husband Chase submitted.
SPEAKER_01No, because you didn't submit.
SPEAKER_02I was a different person back in the back. Okay, so this one comes from Sarah, a female from Texas. So one day I was at my sister's apartment just hanging out with her for the day. As we were getting ready to make some coffee, we heard that we heard what sounded like a child running and giggling down the hallway. Nope. Oh no. I don't fuck with ghost children. That's terrifying. Absolutely certain we were just hearing the upstairs neighbor's kiddo playing around. I made a comment that he must be feeling better if he's running around like that. Assuming he was home that time of day because he was too sick to make it to school that morning. She sent a text to the mom and let her know that she can check on him or bring something by if he needed it while he was home from school for the day. We got to talking and sat down in the living room to get comfy while we gossiped about whatever family drama was going on lately. When she stops mid-sentence and gets really pale, I asked her what's wrong, and she said there's a child standing in my hallway. Oh no! No! Uh-uh. So just to let you guys know, we're recording on a bed, and as soon as I read that sentence, my foot swung up onto the bed. I'm not having anything dangling off this bed. Um, thank you, Sarah, for scaring me. Okay. But wait, there's more. But wait, there's more. Oh god.
SPEAKER_01Oh my hair.
SPEAKER_02So uh she said there was a child in her hallway. I had to get up and walk over to the edge of the room to see the hallway, and he disappeared by the time I could see in the hallway. My sister swore that she saw him go into her bedroom as the brave sibling. I left her alone in the living room against her request.
SPEAKER_00I dare to do that.
SPEAKER_02To do some investigating myself, but no one was in that bedroom. As well as a closet or bathroom attached to it. I told her she must have just imagined it as a text came in from her upstairs neighbor telling her their son had made it to school that day and it couldn't have been him running around. No. Oh god.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02After some research, we did find out a little boy had died in my sister's apartment a little over a year before she'd moved in. Needless to say, she broke that lease the next day. Holy crap! I don't blame her, and I hope the landlords didn't either. Um, but she finishes off with good luck. I love hearing spooky experiences too. Keep it up. Thank you so much, Sarah. Thank you for the bumps. That one, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_02That one gave me some chills, and I feel bad for your sister. I hope she's okay.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. No wonder this is the one that we get the corny joke after. I'm not even gonna work on a delicate segue or anything like that. We're just gonna go straight into it.
SPEAKER_02Coming up need a good, hopefully a good laugh.
SPEAKER_01When I first looked at this, I got very concerned. But it's gonna be okay. It's gonna be okay. So, Allie, yes. Why did the school kids eat their homework? Why? Because the teacher said it was a piece of cake. Oh, oh, that's that almost scared me. Yeah, it did. It it scared us. Yeah, now you know why I said that. Thank you to my live studio audience for the support of our amazing corny joke.
SPEAKER_02So that was um, it was terrifying to hear the first part of that joke right after we read this story. I don't know why, but I just had this like thought of like children with bloody homework.
SPEAKER_01No. Oh gosh. Let's go ahead and read the next submission. Nice. Okay, so I worked with this person.
SPEAKER_02Oh, really?
SPEAKER_01And they told me the story and told me that I should tell it on my podcast. That's awesome. I recorded them telling it and then I transcribed it onto paper. So Cynthia, female from Mexico, she tells me all the time that she doesn't believe in ghosts at all. But then she told me this story, and I was like, what the fuck, Cynthia? Me. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Which is crazy. You know what? The closer that I go back home to El Paso, the weirder shit happens over there, and it's much more believable. Like you can tell somebody that something weird happened and they will believe you because they've experienced it too. Over here in the city, I'm like, you tell people that and they just look at you like, what's wrong with you? They're like, you need to be properly medicated. I know a doctor, right?
SPEAKER_01They're like, I can recommend a psychiatrist. Maybe maybe what's the word what's the the one for the lobotomy? No. I need one of those. I can use one of those. Uh, anyways, okay. I work at a hair salon as a stylist, and at night we have to go into the office to put up the money and turn off the radio. A couple of girls I work with like to joke that it the salon is haunted by a little boy. I don't really believe in that kind of stuff, to be honest, but something happened one night that I just can't explain. I was in the office putting the money away, and above the desk is the corner shelf is a corner shelf that's shaped like an L. We use one side of it for the radio, and the other edge is where the manager keeps the extra printer paper. They lay it flat on the shelf and have to push it back to the wall so it's not hanging off the edge. I'm really short, so I can't reach the shelf at all, but I definitely saw an entire full ream of paper fly off that shelf and hit the wall six feet across from where it had been sitting at the same height. Wow. What? Yeah. When she told me that, I was like, what happened to the ream of paper? And she goes, it exploded. What? The paper was everywhere. Mm-hmm. I tried to convince myself that someone must have hit the wall on the other side really hard to get it to fly that far across the room. But my coworker that was closing with me reminded me that they closed two hours ago and all their cars were gone from the parking lot within 10 minutes of them closing up. I'm not sure what made that heavy thing of paper do that, but sure was strange. That is crazy.
SPEAKER_02Well, I'm glad I didn't hit you.
SPEAKER_01Right? Yeah. So this is the one, this is the same salon where the receptionist was asked by a customer. Uh there were kids in there where the kids were out that had been playing in the lobby, and she was like, There's no kids in here at all.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I remember that. Thank you, Cynthia, for that submission. Um, that's ah just because I work in salons too, it's I'm always interested to see if I'm ever gonna experience something in a salon like that. So abstract advice number two for the day. If at first you don't succeed, redefine success. There you go. That's wow.
SPEAKER_01I like it. Wow. Make yourself hit the standard. Yeah, no, we weren't going for a hundred. We were only going for 75. And we hit 82.
SPEAKER_02I wasn't trying to go three days sober. I was just trying to go half the day. I don't know where you got that other number from.
SPEAKER_01I don't know where you got that other three days from. How funny. Oh my goodness. There's so much banter at the beginning. How are we getting through these stories so quickly? We have a rock stone. And another advice. Okay, so.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah! Our third submission comes in from Desiree, a female from Texas. When I was younger, my grandfather passed away in the house I currently live in. And one night I was coloring my hair in the bathroom and I felt someone pulled my hair from behind me. So I turned around expecting to see my sister behind me laughing, but I was still completely alone in the bathroom. I think it was my grandpa making fun of my new hair color. Oh. I'm glad that you um associate it with a uh cute experience, but like I told Chase earlier, if a ghost touches me or pulls my hair or does I'm swinging first. I'm not looking around. Oh okay, so this is not a paranormal experience, but just to give you an example. Oh. Um, so I like to take showers in the dark, and I've loved doing that since I was little. This is an interesting piece of alley lore. Um, and my brother always make fun of me for it. But one day he tried to scare me, so I was taking a shower, and it's not like pitch black in the bathroom at all. I mean, you can still see things, it's just like dim. And we even had a skylight, so it like it helped a little bit. But um he came in and he tried to scare me uh while I was shampooing my hair, so he like opened the curtain and like screamed, and I remember being scared, and I like turned around, and in my mind, and it's funny because he says the same thing. He's like, I remember being frozen there for a good second, like I didn't react right away, but I remember staring at him for like a split second, but nothing in my head told me that's my brother, don't swing. I fucking swung.
unknownJesus Christ.
SPEAKER_02Now, anytime he ever tried to scare me afterwards, he made sure he was like three feet away.
SPEAKER_01So what I'm hearing is do not sneak up an out.
SPEAKER_02Do not again, I swing.
SPEAKER_01Make her aware that you're coming beforehand. Excuse me, excuse me, ma'am, Allie ma'am.
SPEAKER_02Oh my goodness. But I I hope your your grandpa liked your uh your hair color afterwards. Hopefully he didn't keep pulling your hair.
SPEAKER_01Oh my goodness.
SPEAKER_02So, would you like to give us our last piece of abstract advice for the day?
SPEAKER_01I would. Our last is, our third one of the day is pivot before anyone realizes the plan was flawed. That's what's up.
SPEAKER_02I feel like that one and the second one kind of go like hand in hand.
SPEAKER_01They do, they absolutely feel like they go together. Ali, would you like to tell us about a rock?
SPEAKER_02Ooh. This one's pretty. It is. So just to kind of give you a quick description, it looks crystallized. Like it looks like a half crystallized white rock, and then it on the center of it, it just has these clusters of like crystal blue. Cerulean. Cerulean, yeah. It's not like a see-through type either. Both of these are a very solid.
SPEAKER_01They're almost opaque, but not quite. Yeah. Like you can tell that they have a little bit of shimmery sea through.
SPEAKER_02I wouldn't even be able to begin guessing because I've never seen that before.
SPEAKER_01Me either. K2, maybe.
SPEAKER_02Let's see.
SPEAKER_01I was not gonna guess that.
SPEAKER_02Cabinsight? Have you heard of this before? Never heard of Cavinsight. Alrighty. Well, we're gonna learn something together. What is Cabinsight? Cabinsight is a calcium vanadium silicate.
SPEAKER_01Look at how it comes up as like blue cluster.
SPEAKER_02It looks like candy.
SPEAKER_01It sure does.
SPEAKER_02It looks like it looks like rock candy. So, it is a calcium vanadium silicate. I don't know what that means. Silicate. Silicate.
SPEAKER_01It means it's made out of silicone.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. Its name is an acronym. Look for it. It's in there. It almost does look like it's infecting the rock, it's on bacon. Right? It doesn't. It looks like blue bacteria growing on the rock. It's so pretty.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Tell us more about it.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so I can't find the acronym. Uh we'll have to look at this at some point if it doesn't tell me. It's vivid colors next level. It really is. It's electric blue. And the best cavinsight hails from India. Ooh. It's a go-to stone for those looking to channel messages on high or explore the possibilities of supernatural communication. We need this. Yes. Who needs it? Storytellers, soothsayers, healers, therapists, psychics.
SPEAKER_01Literally us. Our job is to be all of those things, BT Dobbs.
SPEAKER_02Where to put it? Wherever you translate inspiration into the written or spoken world. Ooh.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02When to use it. When it's time to speak clearly and straight from the heart, when you want to get weird, ask Cavinsight to make you a conduit for messages for mysterious and eternal. Its motto is expand your consciousness. I really enjoy this one.
SPEAKER_01I like it too. I'm gonna have to buy some. Just expanding my rock collection. Expanding my collection. That's what it's about. That's I guess. Not really. That's so um I think we did it. You think so? We shouldn't just redo it all. We should redo it. Let's just start over. Start for right from the beginning. Hey guys! Hey, welcome to Conjuring Chaos Podcast.
