We are recording. Make sure to talk to the white fluffy thing.
SPEAKER_02Hello. Hello, white fluffy thing. Motherfuckers.
SPEAKER_03Where were we? Okay. Blue top, blue top.
SPEAKER_02Blue top. Blue top. Listen. Oh, wait, that's weird. Okay, so blue, purple, blue, purple, and then the microphone has mute, but the color looks muted.
SPEAKER_03Okay, you know what?
SPEAKER_02I'm done with you. I'm done with you.
SPEAKER_03No, I can't fire you.
SPEAKER_02I fucking need to. Wait, hold on. Wait. Yeah, for real. Okay. My name's already on this. It's permanent. It's permanent.
SPEAKER_03Welcome to Conjuring Chaos. We're two witchy weirdos with microphones. I'm Chase, and this is my co-host Allie.
SPEAKER_02And I can't wait to put my skeleton dinosaur out for Halloween. And we're here to tell you something weird. Let's set the vibe.
SPEAKER_03Alright. First, we're gonna go ahead and take our deep breath in. And out. Allie, you stopped at the same time as me this time. That's unusual. Did your lungs shrink?
SPEAKER_02Uh probably. Probably. Actually, I'm like off at an angle right now, so this is not the most optimal, optimal way to breathe. And my nose is clogged.
SPEAKER_03Okay, okay. So I have the upper hand today. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Awesome. If we were swimming, you'd win.
SPEAKER_03So I've pulled a finger.
SPEAKER_02Ooh.
SPEAKER_03We're gonna get our fingers up and our fucks down. So this week's lucky number is 21! Oh, nice! Very nice. My potential is limitless, bitch. Hey! Ain't that fucking true? Ain't that fucking true? That isn't that something you're currently learning? That's something I'm currently yeah, that's a a a process, a growth, a healing pro I don't know what to call it. I'm going through it right now.
SPEAKER_02I don't think we've pulled one of these that hasn't been relevant. Yeah. I was gonna say relative. Relevant. It's relevant.
SPEAKER_03It's relevant. So what's uh what's chaotic in your life lately, Allie?
SPEAKER_02So about two or three maybe like a day, two ago. I can't remember. I didn't sleep very much. Um I got to hang out with uh you guys and watch the chaos of the cosmos going on. Oh man, you stole my chaos. A loser.
SPEAKER_03That was a fun fucking night though.
SPEAKER_02It really was. Um yeah, no, I it's kind of funny. I wasn't really expecting to see much just because of the area we're in. I know there's a lot of light pollution. Um I had a whole like a fun day with uh like you guys friends and all that. Um yeah, no, we actually did get to see some shooting stars. Uh like it was beautiful. Yeah. And honestly, they were some of the strongest ones that I've seen in a like a while. My favorite was when we were all laying in the middle of the road in a star form. So talk about chaos. Yeah. We were laying in the middle of the road.
SPEAKER_03That and we had some great conversation.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. It was just a really fun time in general. We got to have a cuddle puddle, which one my favorite fucking thing.
SPEAKER_03Absolutely. Nothing better than a good cuddle puddle. Friends, if you're listening to this, I love you guys. Seriously. Seriously. I'm I'm sorry, but y'all aren't ever allowed to leave my life.
SPEAKER_02You're permanent now. Stuck with this bitch. But yeah, so uh what else? Uh what other chaos do you have? Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_03Um, you know what is chaotic in my life? I'm really excited to go to my first ever EDM concert tomorrow.
SPEAKER_02Fuck yeah! I forgot about that too. I need to go do that. Um I'm excited to do that. Yeah. I've never been to one before, so that should be fun. I haven't been to one since high school, but I'm definitely excited for this one. Just because I'm getting a hangout with you and Christina, but.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I still haven't picked out my outfit yet, but I have lots of options. Um you know what else is chaotic in my life? What? There's a fucking camera in front of us right now. Yeah, that's what's chaotic in my life right now.
SPEAKER_02Um I didn't realize that this is what um what you were talking about when you brought up recording. Not me.
SPEAKER_03I I'm not the one who brought it up. Is this Sal's fault? This is all Sal's fault. All all your fault, Sal. It's your fault. All your fault.
SPEAKER_02You put the look on yourself.
SPEAKER_03We have a friend who um has experience in video editing and stuff like that. And uh he just happened to bring up like why aren't y'all guys posting video snippets and stuff like that? And I told him because we don't actually record video, we're audio only. And uh just out of the kindness of his heart said, uh, record the video, send it to me, I'll edit it for you. And so uh thanks, Sal. You're a fucking rock star. And so um officially starting this episode, we will be posting our episodes on the YouTubes. So um it might not be right away.
SPEAKER_02We we might have to take a look at it first, see how it looks, see if we like it, if that's something we want to do. But um, yeah, if you do see us on YouTube, this will definitely be the first episode on there.
SPEAKER_03And then um, it's not gonna be near as consistent as the uh podcast itself because we do try and post by 3 a.m. on Mondays. Um, but as you can imagine, editing takes a long time, and so it's just gonna be posted whenever it's ready. So um, but yeah, if you're interested in watching us uh sit around in our pajamas talking about ghosts and cryptids and aliens and true crime, um head on over to YouTube and look up Conduring Chaos Podcast. Uh, give us some likes, some some shares, some subscribing, all the good shit, you know, send us your stories, like, yeah. So um there's that. That's uh super nerve-wracking, actually. I thought that I would be way more comfortable because I'm used to being on camera from TikTok, but um see, and when when we when we were talking about recording stuff, I thought that's what it was.
SPEAKER_02Like, oh, we're gonna go out record like little videos of like TikTok. Like, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Allie wanted us to wear lingerie for this. I told her this is not oh my god. No, that's not I said this is not Japan. But no. And we're not doing a ghost investigation for this one, so jammies it is.
SPEAKER_02Just wanted to see you in lingerie.
SPEAKER_01Your facial looks right. What? Why not?
SPEAKER_02I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I don't know what this is. Who's gonna care? Who gives a care anymore? Who's gonna care?
unknownWho's gonna care?
SPEAKER_01Anyway. Who's gonna know? Who's gonna know? Everyone who listens will know. But who's gonna care?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. That's the that's the thing that I have to remind myself a lot lately. Why does anybody like who's gonna care? Who's gonna care? And if they do care, why do I care about other people's opinions?
SPEAKER_03Exactly. I mean I care about mine.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, no, no, I said other people's. Why do I why do I care about other people's opinions? My opinion matters.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it does. Yeah, yours also matters to me.
SPEAKER_02So I mean your your opinion matters to me.
SPEAKER_03But you know, everyone else is.
unknownYou missed it.
SPEAKER_03Anyways, okay.
SPEAKER_02So, um I I have an episode for you. Oh nice. Does that mean we're uh digging into the chaos now? So you ready? You ready to get chaotic? I am so ready to get chaotic.
SPEAKER_03Okay, let's get chaotic. Um, this is a list that I've compiled with a stupid amount of research of menus, common foods at personal events, and comfort foods of various presidents. Oh, nice! That seems very interesting. It's uh a little different than our normal chaos, but I just felt like it would be a fun one to do.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Plus, I like when we uh diverge off into chaos. I mean, this is like I said, it's just interesting. It's very, very curious.
SPEAKER_03So um, you definitely gonna need your phone. Okay. Because we're gonna have to look a lot of these things up. There's at least one thing in every single list that I'm like, what the fuck even is this? You ready for this? Who wants to go first?
unknownMe?
SPEAKER_03I'll go first. I'll actually no, you've been talking a whole bunch. I don't shut the fuck up, so.
SPEAKER_02I need to stop being so shut the fuck up.
SPEAKER_03Okay, tell us about some presidential menus. What kind of food are the presidents into?
SPEAKER_02Um, so the first president we'll be talking about is George Washington. Woo woo. Madeira?
SPEAKER_03Is that okay so Madeira Madeira Madeira?
SPEAKER_02I think it's Madeira.
SPEAKER_03People will correct me. Uncultured swine.
SPEAKER_02Very uncultured. So, um, one of the things on that started off his list was uh Madeira wine. I don't know if I'm pronouncing that right. It's spelled M-A-D-E-I-R-A.
SPEAKER_03Pretty sure it's Madeira or Madeira.
SPEAKER_02Never heard of it. I don't even think I've ever had it. But I'd be curious to try it. Sounds like grapes that are fermented. He likes hazelnuts. Which honestly, I like hazelnut flavored anything.
SPEAKER_03So these would be things that were on menus at their house.
SPEAKER_02Okay. This third one I have questions. Whole cakes. Um, did he spend a lot of time at the brothels or this is why we need Google. Alrighty. Okay, I'm gonna look up a hoe. Wait, no, I don't know if I'll look up a hoe cake.
SPEAKER_03You know what? I'll pull up the chrome on the laptop. And we'll look up whole cakes. We'll look up the cakes on the laptop. We will ruin the conjuring chaos Google feed for this. Whole cakes. You know what? I swear to god, if porn comes up, I quit. A simple traditional cornmeal flatbread fried in a skillet.
SPEAKER_02What? Why did they give it that name?
SPEAKER_03Is it just it's just cornbread pancakes?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03That sounds fucking disgusting.
SPEAKER_02Why couldn't you just put cornbread pancakes? I love cornbread and think of it in the Oh, wait, wait, wait, hold on.
SPEAKER_03They feature a crispy golden crust on the outside with a tender, soft center. Yeah. I like corn, do you know? Okay, I love cornbread, but that's not how I'm imagining these, okay? I would like cornbread can't pancakes. That sounds amazing. But instead of instead of uh syrup, I just want butter sauce.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that'd be nice.
SPEAKER_03An unhealthy kind of butter, the salted kind.
SPEAKER_02The salted kind. Uh rice waffles? Okay. What? Rice waffles.
SPEAKER_03So he wants cornbread pancakes and rice waffles. Got it. Yes. Okay. You got it, Mr. Washington.
SPEAKER_02Uh macaroons, which who doesn't like a good macaroon? Yeah. Um, gingerbread. I don't care for gingerbread. You like gingerbread? I like ginger, I like ginger snaps. Oh! Okay. Do you know I know ginger snaps? I don't like ginger snaps.
SPEAKER_03Do you know what happens when you piss off a redhead?
SPEAKER_02Ginger snaps. Uh cream trifle. I've always wanted to try an old school trifle. Trifles are just I don't know what a trifle is. Um it's like a layered. I I'm thinking termesou, but it's not teramisu. Termisu is. Isn't that ladyfingers? It's a like a stacked. Oh, that looks fucking delicious. Yeah. The reason I say termesu is because it's it's stacked in that way. Yeah. They bricklay ladyfingers. Yes. And sometimes it actually has stuff like ladyfingers in them. Okay. But yeah, normal's like bread and then pudding and then like whipped cream and then just layer that on it. What else is on his name? Um, let's see, let's see. Okay, I read lettuce fart. But it says I got those lettuce. Lettuce tart. Mutton, which is also delicious. A sword and wild game, which back then. Probably high-end, yeah. Uh beer and sliced tongue and toast for breakfast. Slice tongue, I don't know if that's cow tongue. I'm assuming. I'ma assume it's some kind of livestock, not human.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um tongue tacos taste delicious taste delicious.
SPEAKER_03I'm Did you just now realize what I said?
SPEAKER_02Well, you said no, I realized what I said. Sorry. Um, but it's i in Spanish it's uh tacos de lengua, which is tongue taco. Um, but in English when you put those words together, uh it's weird. But yeah, so that was uh some of George Washington's um favorite food.
SPEAKER_03You wanna switch we'll just switch back and forth because that took longer than I expected. This might be more than two eppies worth. Cool. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02We're gonna make it that.
SPEAKER_03It's not gonna be a part one, part two. It's just gonna be like we're gonna do random ones of hey, we're back to presidential meals. Just so y'all know. That way there's not any expectations. So now we're gonna talk about James Monroe. And his menu consists of fried chicken with rice. Nice. Biscuits. Okay, but what did he put on the biscuits? Like that makes oh, that makes all the difference. You know what I mean? Like, did he put like grape jelly and butter, or did he eat them like by themselves? Did he put gravy on them? I think you would say if you put gravy on them. Oh, I I would even put syrup on biscuits. I could get a sweet biscuit. You know what's killer is sausage gravy on a biscuit. Yeah. You can get that for like four bucks at Whataburger when you're drunk at 2 a.m., it's the best experience. It is. I'm glad we have this pizza in front of us. Tomatoes and eggs.
SPEAKER_02Okay, that's very healthy. Um, lots of gas.
SPEAKER_03I uh spoon bread. What? What? What? It's spoon bread. Is it bread you make on a spoon? We're gonna look it up. Spoon. It's bread you eat with a spoon. A warm, savory southern side dish made from cornmeal, milk, butter, and it- It's cornbread.
unknownIt's cornbread?
SPEAKER_02What the- Why are they giving cornbread so many weird names?
SPEAKER_03Whole cake, spoon bread. Wait, wait, wait, wait, hold on. Unlike firm cornbread. Okay, unlike a hoe cake. It has a soft, moist, and custard-like or souffle-like texture. Oh, okay. Like a flan. And it makes it too soft to slice, so it has to be scooped and served directly from the baking dish with a spoon. So it's like soup pudding. Soup? No, it's like bread soup. You know, um. Not interested. This next one we're gonna have to look up to. Chess cakes.
SPEAKER_02Spelled like the game chess. I can definitely have a lot of those. Not chest. Chess. Chess, chess. Like game. Two S P. That's what I said. Just like. Oh, yeah, you did say game. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_03Neopons, queens, and bishops. A rich gooey dessert. It features buttery yellow cake cake mix crust topped with a sweet, dense layer made from eight-ounce block of cream cheese, one pound of powdered sugar and eggs. It bakes into a decadent bar style treat. And look, they even have a picture of a chess cake.
SPEAKER_02Oh wow, a chess cake that looks like a chess board.
SPEAKER_03Haha, see? Don't know if you can zoom into it or not, Sal. Good luck.
SPEAKER_02But that's what we're looking at.
SPEAKER_03Uh okay. Also on James Monroe's menu, sponge cakes and cream jumbles.
SPEAKER_02Okay, with some of the way that these things are named, I am surprised porn hasn't popped up on that computer. Cream jumbles.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, what is the White House other than a large orgy at this point, honestly? Didn't they have like the Kennedy Sex Tunnels? Where JFK uh smuggled Marilyn Monroe in and out underneath the the White House.
SPEAKER_02We have to do an episode. I was about to just say, I was like, wait a minute, that's chaotic enough. I think I think that you need to start bringing shit to the recording.
SPEAKER_03Because you keep coming up with amazing episode off ideas, and then I'm like, there's 16 hours of work for me. I'm sorry. No.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no. So the thing is, I just need to be like at some point throughout the week, I need to be reminded of like, hey, like, this is what I need to do. I'm really bad at reminding myself of like, I'll just try to remember and be like, hey, bitch. Because I'm sure I've said a whole bunch of things and I haven't even written them down. Hat man is one of them. Cool. Maybe when I stop being a hoe, I'll have time for the hat man. Gosh, Allie.
SPEAKER_03I have comments about this next one before you start talking about them.
SPEAKER_02The next president on our list is Chester A. Arthur.
SPEAKER_03Have you ever seen Die Hard with a Vengeance? The third one? No, I haven't. So spoiler alert if you haven't seen it yet. The lila. Spoiler alert. If you haven't seen it yet, uh get on it because that movie came out a long ass time ago. So I don't even feel bad for spoiling this for you. What about for Christmas? That's the first one, thank David. Damn it.
SPEAKER_01That's the only one. It's the only one.
SPEAKER_03Um, maybe the second one. But um, so in the movie, there's a riddle that they're given to try and figure out where a bomb is in a school. It's not a real bomb. The answer to the riddle is Chester A. Arthur. And so every time I hear that name, all I can think about is the dump truck driver named Jerry, who tells Bruce Willis's character the answer to the riddle. Because, I mean, I've seen the movie way too many fucking times. I can quote that motherfucker. So, anyways, what uh what is on 22 out of 44?
SPEAKER_02I've never heard of Chester A. Arthur as a president.
SPEAKER_03He's the 22nd president.
SPEAKER_02I'm glad you know this.
SPEAKER_03I only know it because of diehard. Oh, 21. Sorry, he was the 21st president because they asked, they say what is 21 out of 42.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna I'm wondering, because I know I don't know all of the president's names. I'm wondering which presidents in here I'm gonna see that. I'm like, uh, I didn't know that was a president. So, anyways, there's plenty. Chester A. Arthur. Um, some of the food that's on his list. Uh, coffee and a roll for breakfast. Okay. That's cute.
SPEAKER_03Basic man.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Simple, sorry.
SPEAKER_02Actually, a lot of this seems simple. So, okay, so coffee and breakfast. Or coffee and roll for breakfast. Um, oatmeal and fish for lunch. Whoa! Together? What? It better not be together. Those better be two separate meals. I hope it's oatmeal and or fish or lunch. Right. Um beer.
SPEAKER_03Does he eat that with the fish and oatmeal?
SPEAKER_02You know, I could eat it with the oat fish. I can't eat beer with the oatmeal. Too much grain at the same time. What is a claret?
SPEAKER_03Let's look it up.
SPEAKER_02That's the more normal thing that we've had to look up.
SPEAKER_03It's a red Bordeaux wine. Okay. So he likes beer and fancy red wine.
SPEAKER_02Yes. The one thing that does seem interesting on this list is macaroni pie. So the macaroni by itself would not be interesting. Right. But macaroni pie?
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02Kind of sounds interesting. Does. Uh Rhode Island eels. Okay, that got weird.
SPEAKER_03That did. Specifically Rhode Island. Not from anywhere else in the world. Not China.
SPEAKER_02Rhode Island. Not not LA. I wonder. Maybe it was just uh what was accessible to maybe?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. Maybe. I just love the fact you didn't even question LA eels.
unknownLA Eels?
SPEAKER_02Um, salmon, oysters, turtle steak.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Never had turtle before, but okay.
SPEAKER_02Nestlerod pie? Nestlerod?
SPEAKER_03We're gonna have to Is that like Nestlerod? Is that like is that like like a pie made out of nestles?
SPEAKER_02Oh Nessie. Nessie pie.
SPEAKER_03That's like Loch Ness Monster Pie?
SPEAKER_02Hmm.
SPEAKER_03I wonder what Nessie tastes like.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_03A vintage mid-20th century New York cream pie rooted in 18th century chestnut and rum frozen pudding named after a Russian diplomat. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Okay, if they would have put cream pie on here, I would have totally understood that. I'm so glad we didn't look up cream pie on there.
SPEAKER_03Me too. Me too. I do not want to ruin my search history. It sounds delicious though. It does.
SPEAKER_02Like, that's the thing is um I do love a good cream pie, and I don't like that that sentence left my mouth. Um and of course, mutton or roast beef with potatoes and fruit for dinner. Of course. Yeah, so simple man, some odd things in there, but overall, decent list. I uh I think that I'm curious about eels, to be honest. How does eel taste?
SPEAKER_03It's actually not bad. I've had it, I've had it on sushi before. Yeah, I've had eel sauce. Sounds like um Leonard Skinnard must have written a song about him lunch.
SPEAKER_02Hey, you get to read the one that we've all lived through.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah! Hey, check that out. Um okay, so our our next Next El Presidente is Barack Obama. First of all, I want Michelle Obama arms.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. No, she's got good arms.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I want I want Michelle Obama arms so bad. Working on it. Working on it. Ooh, he's got good taste. Okay.
SPEAKER_02You know, that doesn't surprise me.
SPEAKER_03Not with that velvety voice. Anyways, okay. Nachos and guacamole. Ooh. Chili. Ooh. Burgers. Green dragon and blackberry forest honey tea. Wait, no. That sounds nice. Hold on. Green dragon and black forest berry honest tea. That's a very specific brand, it sounds like. And now I want to order some of that tea just so I can be like, I'm drinking Barack Obama drinks. The next one is so funny. Planters Trail Mix. Okay. Pistachios. Did you know that pistachios have melatonin in them and they will make you conk the fuck out?
SPEAKER_02I didn't know that. Is that why I was so sleepy?
SPEAKER_03Did you eat pistachios? Yeah, I was eating chocolate-covered pistachios. Yeah, they'll make you go to sleep. Bedtime. I love pistachios. They're so good. Almonds. Water. That's good. Gotta stay hydrated. The only president, apparently, with water in his house. Okay. Dentine ice. The next one really surprises me. Nicorette. What is a nicerette? It is a nicotine gum. He's got he's got a pretty interesting menu here. Okay. Met prescription protein bars. Apples, broccoli, and spinach.
SPEAKER_02This is a very healthy man. You know what I thought I was thinking though, as you were reading these? Is there more?
SPEAKER_03No, I just I'm just kind of surprised because I don't know why. Just it. I felt like he was gonna have more like I thought I figured Barack Obama would have like caviar.
SPEAKER_02No, you know. He's always been, or he's always seemed like a very like down-to-earth very person, and which all out to me screams down to earth. Um, the only thing is I just think it's funny because you know how there's some stuff we're reading on these president lists, and we're like, what is that? What is like what why are they calling whatever? I wonder if in the future when they read back Barack Obama's uh list, they're gonna have to look by like what is it, like Nicarette? Right? Oh my gosh. So our next president is Mr. Jimmy Carter.
SPEAKER_03Oh, System of a Down wrote a song about him. Not really? No. It's just a lyric in a song. Oh, which what's the lyric? Um, Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter! He's the lyric. His name is the lyric, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I know I've heard his name. I just don't know what he did. He was a president. He was a president. His list has ham with red eye gravy. Okay. I don't know what exactly red-eye gravy is, but I love gravy. That's that's well. Look it up. We got a computer. It popped up. Cool.
SPEAKER_03Red-eye gravy is a thin, savory southern pan sauce made by deglazing a skillet used to fry salty country ham with a strong black coffee.
SPEAKER_02Oh, whoa, whoa, what?
SPEAKER_03It lacks flour or roux entirely, featuring a instead a bold, salty, bitter profile traditionally spooned over biscuits or grits.
SPEAKER_02Nice, so it's uh ham and coffee. Ham juice and coffee. I'm curious. I'm not at all. Well, because that's the thing, is he had to have made it with a ham that he was eating, because it's ham and red eye gravy, so it'd just be like putting over the same juices that you do when you make a ham or a turkey. It just has coffee now.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, put your ham juices all over your biscuits. Put your ham juices.
SPEAKER_02Um he also liked baked grits. I like grits.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah, that's what the that's what the ham juice is.
SPEAKER_02Grits. Uh cornbread, this is the first one that it just has cornbread. Instead of some fancy fucking name. Hoe pie? What was it? Whole bread? Whole bread, no whole pie. It was a hoe cake. Whole cake and spoon bread. Spoonbread, there you go. Pork chops with cornbread stuffing. He really likes his cornbread. Um, fried apples. I like apples, so that's good. Oh some salmon. Um red beans and rice. Okay. Ham and cheese sandwiches, spicy spare ribs. Hmm. Nice. Colored greens, kale, okra, zucchini, butter beans. Butter butter beans.
SPEAKER_03Uh that also sounds good. They're they're a type of bean, they're kind of bigger.
SPEAKER_02Fried corn and peanuts.
SPEAKER_03What president is this, Jimmy Carter?
SPEAKER_02Jimmy Carter. You know what?
SPEAKER_03Speaking of cinnamon, I'm gonna dig into those cinnamon vibes. Apparently, he's from Georgia. I was thinking he was gonna be from like Louisiana based on his food preferences. No, all of his uh foods from Southern. Well Where's Louisiana?
SPEAKER_00I don't know.
SPEAKER_03It is literally the next state over to the left of us if you're facing the atmosphere. I'm done. It's not southern enough. Louisiana is like literally the one of the most southern states.
SPEAKER_00It's like America. It's the Creole Southern.
SPEAKER_03It is the Creole Southern.
SPEAKER_00Not American Southern.
SPEAKER_03They said red beans and rice. That's literally Creole Southern. Creole Southern? Yes, that is from Louisiana. Wow. Girl, I don't know, my god! Our next El Presidente. Oh god. Don't even. Before we go into our next president, Allie. Yes. I have a presidential corny joke for you. That's all the cornbread we've been reading about. It's not presidential, but it is very corny, like the bread we've been reading about. All cornbread types aside, what is the best thing about Switzerland?
SPEAKER_02That just sounds like a question. What's the best thing about Switzerland? The people.
SPEAKER_03Thank you to our live studio audience. That one was funny. Have you seen the Swiss flag? Yes. It looks like a lifeguard designed it.
SPEAKER_02The Red Cross.
SPEAKER_01Alright, everyone. Richard Nixon. Oh nice!
SPEAKER_02You know, at least at least Richard Nix Nixon gave us like some entertainment for afterwards.
SPEAKER_03I love the fact that he's like the go-to mask for bank robbers. How did that even start?
SPEAKER_02Like I want I want the lore on that. I loved seeing him as president on uh Futurama.
SPEAKER_03Oh my gosh! That's but they picked him for a damn good reason. They needed like the worst, the worst PR option possible, and they fucking nailed it, man. I don't think there's a president out there that has as much heat as fucking Richard Nixon got.
SPEAKER_02We'll see about that after this term. I am so wrong. Our current president's a little bit more than a good thing. He hasn't leaked out anything in like the like Watergate, like not that bad.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's a good point. Okay, so man, this is making my childhood make more sense. This was my dad's favorite fucking president.
SPEAKER_04Oh god.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so uh the infamous Nixon had uh actually an interesting um kind of calm list here. So his menu has fresh fruit, very vague, avocados, a vodka do. Avocado's free shavadoo.
SPEAKER_01No. Okay. Gazpacho. What the fuck is that? Gazpacho? Oh Jesus, jeez! I don't know what that is still, so you know what?
SPEAKER_02I know what gazpacho is, but I don't know what it's made of.
SPEAKER_03Okay. It's a soup. Yeah. Okay. Looks good. It has shrimp in it though. Ew, gross. Cucumber mousse.
SPEAKER_02What? Oh, mousse. Like uh yeah, mousse.
SPEAKER_03Dessert?
SPEAKER_02It's a dessert, right? Yeah. I thought it was like moose meat with cucumbers.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Poached salmon. Cold shrimp and crab cold. Yeah, you can have cold shrimp. Have you ever had uh I don't like code shrimp? Oh shit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I was about to ask about it.
SPEAKER_03But cold shrimp and call cold crab is kind of not really. Ceviche. I've never had cows.
SPEAKER_02You can put cold crab and shrimp. And it's lime juice with uh a bunch of stuff.
SPEAKER_03They cook it with lime juice, right? Basically they ferment it in the lime juice.
SPEAKER_02But it keeps it cold.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Okay. Cottage cheese. Rye crisp. Wheat germ. What the fuck is it? I've also heard of wheat germ. Look that shit up. I like your background. Thank you.
SPEAKER_02Uh cereal grain is a part that develops into the plant.
SPEAKER_03It is a seed embryo. Okay, interesting. Next is macadamia nuts, corn, beef, and cabbage, steak, spaghetti with meatballs, meatloaf and beef stroganoff. You know, I can't complain. Most of this stuff sounds pretty decent.
SPEAKER_02I would have thought it would have been like the ba the heads of babies or something.
SPEAKER_03Him and Ozzy both were on stage that one night.
SPEAKER_02Oh, Gerald Ford.
SPEAKER_03Wait, oh my god. Have you, do you have you seen all of the Beverly Hills cop movies?
SPEAKER_02Not all of them, no.
SPEAKER_03There's one of them. I don't know if it's I don't remember which one it is, but there's one where he takes them to a I think it's a strip club slash steakhouse, and then he tells everyone that one of the cops that he brings to this place is Gerald Ford. It's fucking hilarious. Every time I hear Gerald Ford, I think of Eddie Murphy.
SPEAKER_02So Gerald Ford, Eddie Murphy, and Chester A. Arthur um Chester A.
SPEAKER_03Arthur was with Bruce Willis.
SPEAKER_02Bruce Willis, there you go.
SPEAKER_03Both are cop movies, awkwardly enough.
unknownThat's funny.
SPEAKER_02So uh ooh! Ooh, okay, so uh me and Gerald Ford me and Gerald Ford uh like waffles. It's one of my favorite foods. Um with strawberries and sour cream. I don't like it with sour cream. Uh I don't know what that is, but take that off of my waffle. You don't know what sour cream is? I don't know what sour cream on waffle is or does. I don't want it. That just ruined my waffle.
SPEAKER_03My stomach just made a noise at that. Uh German apple pancakes. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02I'm that I've actually had German apple pancakes with Christina before. Man, that one really got you. I'm sorry, I'm still dying.
SPEAKER_03It sounds like ruined my waffle.
SPEAKER_01Oh god! Oh okay. I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_02The waffle, the waffle, what was the sorry the second one was German apple pancakes. That sounds phenomenal. So um an apple pancake is actually uh applesauce on top of a potato pancake.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um, so it it kind of was like a hash brown, like a smushed down hash brown. Um you put applesauce on top of it. It's sweet, but it bitters it down the the hash brown part of it bitters it down a lot. So um I got to try them at Wordsfest. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Nice. Um speaking of apple pancakes, if you want to see a very wholesome video, uh look up Apple can apple pancakes Kevin Brown. It's a good one. Very unrelated to our content though. Okay, go ahead. Sorry.
SPEAKER_02Hold on. Actually, I know I need to check if what I was talking about was correct. I was wrong. I was wrong about the apple pancake. Oh. Maybe? No, I was wrong about the apple pancake. I was hold on. I swear to god, I'm wrong about the apple pancake now.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, they're regular pancakes with apples mixed in. Yeah. So what the fuck did I eat? No idea. What the fuck did I do?
SPEAKER_02Potato pancake, that's what it was.
SPEAKER_03With apples? It's just a hash brown.
SPEAKER_02A kartoffle puffer. Kartoffel puffer. Uh, but it looks like that. That's called a hash brown. That's it's a cartopal puffer.
SPEAKER_03That's a that's a fucking half hash brown. Kartoffel is pu potato. I don't know what the other half or is. Pancake.
unknownProbably.
SPEAKER_03And I guarantee that there's an almond somewhere in there, actually. Okay. Okay. What else did Gerald Ford enjoy? That was only the second thing.
SPEAKER_02Um shit. White bread.
SPEAKER_03Me too.
SPEAKER_02And even though it's horrible for you. Uh prime rib. Nice. Uh, new potatoes. Uh question. New potatoes.
SPEAKER_03Who likes old potatoes?
SPEAKER_02Green beans, ice cream, spaghetti, and meatballs. Isn't this that's the second one up there with Richard Dixon? Uh, liver and onions.
SPEAKER_03Liver's not bad, but onions are disgusting. Liver's not bad, but onions gross. Fucking nasty. I'm glad you don't like onions. I don't like onions either. It's a crunch thing. I also get really sick if I eat them. I think I'm allergic. Yeah, yeah. They make my stomach like real rumbling. Lean pork chops and lemon pudding. Ooh, I kind of want some lemon pudding. Gerald Ford has interesting taste in food. Green, this is the first time I've seen green beans on there, I think. I make really good green beans. Green beans is green beans and collard greens? Very different. Okay. Collard greens are like, I think, like types of spinach and stuff. Spinach. There's they're actually like a different plant. They're not actually spinach, but it's similar-ish. The next one is gonna be Lyndon Johnson. Ooh, Lyndon B. Johnson? I don't know. There's not a B in there. 36th president. It's the same guy. It's the same guy. Okay, so this one is Lyndon B. Johnson. Uh his menu is chipped beef. Chipped beef. Yeah. I don't know. Don't ask me. Biscuits with ham or deer sausage. Deer sausage is so good. I've had that in my task. Lamb hash. Okay. Chicken chow mein. Chopped suet.
SPEAKER_02Oh, does he like Asian food? Doesn't it? That's nice. That's the first one that I've seen with Asian food on it. Spinach souffle.
SPEAKER_03Ooh. Nice. That sounds fucking delicious.
SPEAKER_02It does.
SPEAKER_03Salad chopped fine and eaten with a spoon. Alright. Barbecued spare ribs. Ooh. Someone else had that on theirs too. Swear in the barbecue capital of Texas right now. Oh yeah, he's literally from Johnson City. They renamed Johnson City after him. I don't know what it was beforehand. Cold tapioca pudding. Is tapioca normally cold? I thought it was.
SPEAKER_02I think it was warm. It's like a oatmeal, right?
SPEAKER_03I thought it had no, it has tapioca in it. What do you mean oatmeal? It's what I it's what I uh compare it to. Nothing like oatmeal. Nothing like oatmeal, no. What is it uh it has something with like a similar consistency to like grains of rice, I guess you could say in it. Or os or salt? Like grits? No. Grits is what? Have you ever eaten grits? I've had grits, yeah. How does that compare to rice? Does it not have no? It's very smooth. Grits? It's I mean it's smooth, but it's like grainy, grits. It's grainy, but grainy is teeny tiny. Rice is literally this big, man. Oh. What? I'm having problems understanding things, I guess. Yeah, you are.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, see, it's like the little clear pearls. Yeah. And those go inside of the pudding. Oh. So it has like those little. But they're like the shape of rice and the texture of cooked orzo.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I've never had this before. But girl, I mean some of these pictures and some of these pictures do look like grits. Mm-mm. Grits doesn't have that big of chunks in it. It doesn't have that. If I saw a thing like that and they told me it was grits, I thought I'd think that it had mold in it.
SPEAKER_03Thank you.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03Um That being said, where was I? Oh. And then last thing on here, fudge. Oh nice! I love fudge. Man seems to like desserts a little bit. Allie.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_03We're finally done.
SPEAKER_02We are? Well, we're done with page one. Yeah. But we're done for today's podcast.
SPEAKER_03Because we're almost at an hour. Not to them. Uh no, not to them. But it's gonna be cut out quite a bit and it'll probably be closer to like 40 minutes.
SPEAKER_02But this was a really uh fun list to read off of. Thank you again for doing this um this research and bringing this information to my face. I would have never been I would have never sat and looked up menus of present.
SPEAKER_03I mean, that's why I'm the one who brings the episodes. Um, do you remember whose turn it is to read the rock? No, but I'll read it. Okay, do you want to show do you want to show it to the camera? Yeah, look. Uh get closer. Oh, blue ducky. Oh shit. I have a guess, but I could have sworn we already did this rock. Uh, what was your guess? My guess is Larimar. It looks like rough Laramar to me. Weird.
SPEAKER_02I can't do Laramar.
SPEAKER_03Didn't we? I feel like there's nothing else it could be, but you're gonna tell me what it is. It looks like a little blue duck. Um it's Larimar! I thought we already did this one. Okay, that's that's my absolute favorite rock.
SPEAKER_02Maybe we've just talked about Larimar.
SPEAKER_03We probably have. Well, because it's my favorite. It's like my absolute favorite. It's also expensive.
SPEAKER_02So like a Larimar wedding ring. I'd rather have a moldavite one.
unknownReally?
SPEAKER_02I don't know why. For your wedding ring. Yeah. Yeah?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. It matches my nails.
SPEAKER_02I want chaos to follow you out.
SPEAKER_03Listen, there's a reason I'm the chaos queen, okay?
SPEAKER_02That is true. What it is. Sea foam toned Larimar is a volcanic blue mineral only found in the Dominican Republic. I knew that part, the Dominican. I did not know it was volcano formed. I know very little about it though. Uh its energy is likely a spiritual snow cone for the seething and sweltering. Okay. Uh who needs it? The hot tempered? Oh. What? Any Aries. Where to put it? When super agitated, stop, drop, hold Lamar in your left hand, and commence cooling breathing. I.e. stick out your rolled tongue and slowly inhale. What? That sounds sexual as fuck. I don't know what noises you make, but that does not sound first of all.
SPEAKER_03What now? Stick out your tongue and open your mouth?
SPEAKER_02Stick out your tongue. Stick out your rolled tongue and slowly inhale and exhale like you're sucking through a straw.
SPEAKER_03You didn't finish the sentence.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_03No, and that's why I made the response that I made. All you said was stick out your tongue and inhale. Roll your tongue.
SPEAKER_01I said stick out your rolled tongue. And slowly inhale.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. That's what I was like, uh. I'm thinking. Like the fucking wolf in cartoons.
unknownYou're dumb.
SPEAKER_02Wait, which one of us is doing it right? This doesn't have to be. Okay. Anyways. When to use it. When you feel like all of the world's problems are suddenly just your problems. When to use it. So when you're in when you're in victim mode. When you're an area manager. Uh when anger stands between you and the formation of articulate sentences. Remember, chill is a choice. Ride the cool breeze with Larimar. I like this.
SPEAKER_03Nice. What's the motto?
SPEAKER_02Slow your roll.
SPEAKER_03Interesting. But yeah, with pretty rock. I I think I think that's it. That's all we got for today. That's all we that's all. Yeah, that's all we can do.
